Studio Tuu was founded in 2021 by designer Kwan Panomkwan Silkestrand. Working from her home studio in Sweden, she designs and handcrafts each piece herself, allowing every creation to take shape at its own pace. Nature is a constant presence in her work — its shifting forms, subtle textures, and quiet details gently echo through her jewelry.
Her aesthetic is rooted in minimalism, yet she welcomes irregularities and organic nuances. Rather than striving for perfection, Kwan values honesty in materials and process. The result is jewelry that feels personal and enduring — pieces made slowly, thoughtfully, and with a distinct character of their own.
The name “Tuu” is drawn from her grandmother, a profound source of inspiration in Kwan’s life. Naming the studio after her is both a tribute and a reminder of where her journey with jewelry first began.
Kwan is a multidisciplinary designer and jewelry artist working across contemporary wearable art and exhibition-based pieces. She holds a degree in Biology and a Master’s in Industrial Design. She is a member of Konsthantverkscentrum and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Craft, specializing in Jewelry and Corpus at Konstfack.
